Enjoy Local Food and Drink at Pub in the Park

Meeting of friends at the music festival with beers in a park

Summer is finally here! The days are longer, warmer, and full of fun local activities. The long summer days are the perfect time to enjoy a cold beer and a delicious snack, and we have the scoop on an event that offers plenty of both. On June 23, take a short drive over to Lake in the Hills for “Pub in the Park.” This fantastic event features tasty treats and awesome entertainment. Take a look!

Pub in the Park

Pub in the Park attracts hundreds of craft beer enthusiasts each summer. This annual festival highlights local breweries, food trucks, and bands. More than 50 local breweries are represented at this event, sharing unique products and seasonal selections that you won’t find anywhere else. Knowledgeable brewers and their staff members will be available to answer questions and share the unique brewing processes behind these delicious beers.

McHenry County Living’s Food Truck Fest goes hand in hand with Pub in the Park. This impressive gathering of food trucks pairs perfectly with the craft beer festival. The Food Truck Fest runs from 2 PM to 7 PM. Admission is free, and food truck purchases may be paid by cash, credit, or debit.

Along with the lively atmosphere, enjoy live entertainment provided by Jimmy Nick. Well known across Chicagoland, Jimmy Nick fuses blues and rock ‘n’ roll to deliver unique and energetic performances. Nick is a gifted guitar player who will have the crowd dancing all afternoon.

There are several tiers of tickets available for purchase:

VIP tickets ($65) – VIP ticket holders enjoy early admission at 3 PM and a souvenir glass.

General admission tickets ($45) – this ticket grants admission between 4 PM and 7 PM, and also includes a souvenir glass.

General admission (designated drivers) ($15) – designated drivers have access to the festival area and must wear a wristband indicating that they cannot drink. Designated drivers receive free water.

All proceeds from this event benefit People for Parks Foundation of Lake in the Hills, Inc. This non-profit foundation supports the Lake in the Hills Parks and Recreation Department.

Pub in the Park is an exciting annual event that residents of Algonquin Square Apartments are sure to love. We’re also in proximity to wonderful dining and shopping opportunities. Want to learn more? Contact us to schedule a tour!
